Tomorrow morning we're going to see the Nanas'! What started out at Grandpa Duane and Nana Robin got jumbled in Bella's 4 year old brain and it is now Nana Duane and Nana Robin..... Funny how these things stick.... Dexter is going too.... Since his crate has to be the first thing in the trunk, we've already packed it.... Now he's being a pest, stalking daddy, and pouting because he knows we're going on a trip and he wants to go now!.... We are also taking our bikes so I can get some training in, other than the 38.5 miles Monday, I've really been a slacker this week!.... We have snacks, way too much clothing, entertainment for Bella, food for Dexie.... and a tent! That's right we're also going to squeeze in some backyard camping while we're there..... Bella has been dying to go so we found a super affordable small 2 room tent at walmart and we're giving it a go.....
This week has been all about poor food choices..... My sugar cravings have been through the roof...... I must figure out a way to get back on the low carb track...... but right now I'm too tired and depleted to even think about life without the sugar rush...... First I will be upping my water intake...... That usually seems to help stave off the sugar craving...... then eat more berries....... maybe I'll try to find some lara bar recipes.... I really really love the key lime and lemon bars.........
When you get off track with your food choices, just keep in mind a day or week of bad food doesn't deserve a major guilt trip on your behalf.... It isn't a reason to give up completely, or just say to heck with it and keep eating poorly........ It is a minor speed bump! Sometimes in life there has to be cake.... and possibly a donut too..... Especially if you've been the queen of Krispie Kreme for as long as I have ;)..... Time to find some new recipes and choose the right!
