We had our regular Sunday morning Beginners & Breakfast ride with our favorite guys (& girlie) from Phat Tire.... The folks at Little Bread Company are on vacation so we headed to Common Grounds.... I had the best muffin! The guys had to hurry back so they went ahead... and Brad had to get to work.... I ride by myself pretty often.... and I'm always afraid of flats..... Brad showed me how to change them, but I didn't have the required stuff! AND it happened to be on my back wheel........ The Dolce and I ended up walking a few miles back to the shop...... Right after a guy stopped and asked if I needed help.... Then I got tired of being passed by mountain bikers so I left the trail and hit the sidewalk for the last couple blocks...... About a block and a half from the shop two roadies asked if I needed a "spare wheel" (lol).... When I said thanks, that I was almost back to the shop... They said "We'll change it for you"..... I laughed and said thanks...... Spike says they only said that because I'm a girl.........
There are perks to being a female roadie!
